If I'm honest I haven't been keeping to my diet, but what I have been doing is feeding my hunger for safety, a feeling of fullness, completeness, filling the emotional void left by my mother. In this way I am taking care of myself too.

I need more sleep - maybe two full days of it. I'm staying awake through coffee and sugar but I am getting at least 8 hours a night. I think about the treadmill. I'm looking at it now.

I did lift weights at my dad's while taking care of mom and I walked a lot of steps.

I have not given up on completing NaNoWriMo. I have just changed the story I am writing. Will it ever come to more than 50,000 babbling words, perhaps not but I will still be able to say that I wrote a 50,000 word novel.

Since I am not gorging myself, binge eating, and emptying out the refrigerator every night I have to give myself @;--@;--@;--@;--@;--@;-- roses.

I didn't think having Jonathan Jackson back as Lucky would make a difference but "EEEEEEEEEEE" I loved today's episode and can't wait for the Lucky/Elizabeth/Nikolas triangle. Before I just wanted Elizabeth and Nikolas.

Mom asked me to write her eulogy at the end of September. I wrote it in about 30 minutes at 2:00 am on October 2. Here it is - as read and unedited. I refused to edit grammar, tense, and point-of-view because she approved this version.

Mom has breast cancer - she's in the hospital and has been since 10:00 last Saturday. I've been with her everyday, but I need to get back to my life too, so back to work on Monday. I want her to be OK but I may not get my wish. I will remain hopeful.

I haven't written, read, or watched much since Saturday. I have been writing email updates and talking to many relatives on the phone. I haven't done well on the eating healthy or exercising front this week. That's OK - I can have one week off.

We start again tomorrow.

For all the missed days of posting. I have gotten in a couple more swims before they closed the pool today and I have been doing a lot of walking.

My jeans arrived today - smaller than the old pair and they fit!!

I am so new to the geek world - I just found this. Two geeks (one a super hero and one a super villain) in love with a girl named Penny. Sounds like another show with two geeks and a girl named Penny. Dr. Horrible stars Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, Felicia Day, and Simon Helberg of TBBT has a role.

I purchased a pair of hiking shoes after speaking with a runner and some supplies to help prevent blisters so I can do some serious training for climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
I started the day off with a very cold swim.
